Eligibility

Non-UK JCIE candidates

Medical degree and a minimum of six years of surgical experience (which should include four years of specialty training)

A minimum of 6 years of surgical experience and 4 years of speciality training

MRCS exam clearance
At least 1 year of surgical practice in the UK or Ireland
During the time spent in the UK or Ireland, the applicant should have signed up to ISCP so that there is confirmation of competency progression referenced to this
Three structured references – Referees MUST all be on the UK or Irish Medical Register. One should be the Clinical Director/Lead. Referees MUST have direct experience with the applicant’s current clinical practice in the last 2 years.
