Yes actual patients/actors are involved in clinical viva stations in Section 2 exams
What is the exam format for Section 2 exam?
The clinical component consists of a series of carefully designed and structured interviews on clinical topics, some being scenario-based (structured orals) and some being patient-based. The included topics are: aorta, lower limb, trauma, peri-operative and critical care, academic paper, endovascular, and miscellaneous
How many times per year does the Section 2 FRCS Vascular Surgery exam occur?

You can attempt the exam twice a year

How many attempts are allowed?
 A maximum of 4 attempts are allowed in each section
