What are the documents required to apply for PLAB?

The documents required include proof of qualifications, curriculum vitae (CV), evidence of training, medical registration, ID proof, and other supporting documents.

How long does it take to complete PLAB?

It should not take more than 1.5 – 2 years if diligently prepared

How many times can you attempt PLAB exams?

You can attempt the exam a maximum of four times.

I have failed 4 times. Can I take it again?

If you’ve failed the exam four times, you can apply for one final attempt after 2 years from the date of the last attempt. However, candidates need to demonstrate evidence of additional learning over a 12-month period and make an application to GMC

I have passed PLAB 1, what next?

You must pass PLAB 2 within three years of the date you passed PLAB 1.

What is the pattern for PLAB 1?

Part 1 is a written multiple-choice exam, with 180 single-best-answer questions

What is the pattern for PLAB 2?

PLAB 2 is made up of 16 scenarios, each lasting eight minutes.

How many times is the exam conducted a year?
